The AFROEQUALITY project will be complementary to the structural mapping of POC discrimination in Spain and upgrade capacity-building training. Instrategies already collaborates in public consultancy, especially through the implementation of the AMIF project. The AFROEQUALITY project will offer the opportunity to map racial discrimination in the country, something that also affects second and third generation people of African descent. Within AFROEQUALITY Instrategies will work to highlight non-reported discrimination (a phenomenon more prevalent in rural areas where there is more Afrophobia; this is a result of the fact that people in the countryside do not have many opportunities to meet people of African descent, therefore, their perceptions are predominantly shaped by media reports, movies, culture etc). Instrategies work with networks, public administration and civil society organisations to exchange learning experiences and design and test policies. It has worked with many stakeholders on migration and integration, including local and regional authorities and social organisations. It takes part in expert roundtables on issues faced by immigrants during integration, public debates on migration strategies and policies and contributes to national and international press on these issues.
